About Us

The concept behind American Vagabond Photography is a simple one.   Provide new age quality with old fashioned honesty, integrity, and customer service.  This is made possible because both Dave and John love what they do.  The roots of their partnership were first seeded on the historic cobblestone streets of Viejo San Juan when the paths of these old highschool buddies crossed in the caribbean.  The inspiration to shoot was all around them, but it was the inspiration of others to buy those shots that got the company to where it is today.  Although, headquarters have been established in Atlanta, the vagabonds are always looking for their next adventure near or afar.

Dave Pastush - Blogger/vagabond

Leaving his hometown of Roswell, Ga in 1997, Pastush went on to travel, work, study, play rugby, and shoot all across North America and Australia before finally returning back to GA to finish his studies at Georgia Southern University.  Since graduation, he has been fortunate enough to work/play his way through many more countries throughout Africa and Europe.  When he travels, luxury and convenience is not his style.  He prefers to stay as far off the beaten path as possible inorder to capture the true essence of the culture in which he is submerged in.  Furthermore, he enjoys finding alternative means of transportation between countries such as hitchhiking, public transport, and has even been known to walk himself. He has worked with professional photographers throughout America, from Atlanta all the way to Alaska.   He hopes to continue instilling passion through his work and play while incorporating his love of travel.

John Krivec - photographer/vagabond

John Krivec is from the Atlana area and has been knee deep in the photography industry since 1997.  He has a wide array of experience and an in depth knowledge of the principles of photography.  Getting his start by assisting for numerous pros from around the world he quickly fell in love with the idea of pursueing photography for a living and letting it take him around the world.  John has lived in numerous towns out west and spent considerable time in both Taiwan and the caribbean.  Just ask anyone that knows John and they’ll tell you that where John goes… his camera goes.
